Dr Michelle Douglas PT, DPT, MTC graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Psychology in 1992. She attended Old Dominion University for Physical Therapy and graduated with a Master of Science in 1995. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine in 2006.
Dr Lori Ward PT, DPT, MTC graduated from Old Dominion University in 1996 with a BS in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science, and in 2000 with a Master of Physical Therapy. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine.
We are committed to excellence in our field. We both received our Manual Therapy Certification in 2004, our Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor Certification in 2009, and our PiYo Certification in 2016. We attend educational classes yearly to continue to improve our skills including the McKenzie Method, Total Motion Release, Strain Counter Strain, Mulligan Mobilization, Meeks Method for Osteoporosis, Spinal Manipulation, Sports Rehab, Foot and Ankle, Orthotics, and Advanced TMJ.

We are members of our professional organization, the APTA. We donate yearly to support our local community, including efforts to fight MS thru the cycling CLAMS, the Wounded Warriors and Breast Cancer thru Beyond Boobs in Williamsburg. We also support our state universities, including the ODU Athletic Fund and the Tidewater Hokie Club.
In 2015 we began supporting a medical clinic in Helene, Honduras. Dr. Douglas tries to visit Helene once a year to take supplies and volunteer wherever needed, especially in the medical clinic and spending time with the local families.
We are conviently located in Chesapeake, 1 block south of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and behind Navy Federal Credit Union.
